Gala and Silent Auction to Benefit 10 More Years of Passionate Music MakingThe MCE was founded ten years ago on the idea that choral music can be direct, immediate, and immersive, and that the creation of music is the product of a tightly connected community. We have seen the expression of these ideas through more than 50 performances in and around New York City in collaboration with some of our most beloved cultural institutions and through a unique and innovative commissioning program - New Music for New York - that has resulted in more than 20 new works for choir. The support of our donors has been invaluable over the past ten years and we invite you now to put a capstone on our first decade together and look ahead toward the continued growth of this vital organization. Our choir has evolved, but our founding principles have remained - we explore music together, for one another, to experience the power of choral music and to celebrate New York City.
